LEAVE PROCEDURE

Annual Leave |
|
| A
Leave Form for annual leave
has to be submitted at least 2 weeks before an employee
goes on leave. |
|
| A leave form must be completed correctly
when applying for leave. |
|
| The completed leave form must be given to
the Director / Manager for authorisation who then
confirms with the HR Administrator if the employee
has leave available |
|
| After authorisation the leave form must be
submitted to the HR Administrator for final
approval and captured on the Accsys leave module. |
|
Sick Leave |
| The leave form must be completed correctly
as soon as possible after returning to work with a doctors certificate. |
|
| The completed leave form must be given to
the Director / Manager for authorisation who must
confirm with the HR Administrator if the employee
has leave available |
|
| After authorisation the leave form must be
submitted to the HR Administrator for final
approval and captured on the Accsys Leave Module. |
|
| The Basic Conditions of Employment Act
states that an employee is entitled to 30 days paid sick
leave in a period of 36 months (working 5 days per week)
and 36 days paid sick leave in a period of 36 months (working
6 days per week). |

Family Responsibility Leave |
|
The leave form must be completed correctly
and submitted immediately. |
|

The completed leave form must be given to
the Line Manager for authorisation. The Line Manager must
confirm with the HR Administrator if the employee
has leave available |
|
|
After authorisation the leave form must be
submitted to the HR Administrator for final
approval and captured on the Accsys Leave Module. |
|
|
Company Policy states that an employee may
take 3 days family responsible leave annually. |
|
| Maternity Leave |
| The leave form must be completed correctly
and submitted to management at least 2 (Two) months
before the employee plans to go on maternity leave. |
|
| The completed leave form must be given to
the Director / Manager for authorisation who must
confirm with the HR Administrator if the employee
has leave available |
|
| After authorisation the leave form must be
submitted to the HR Administrator for final
approval and captured on the Accsys leave module |
|
| The Basic Conditions of Employment Act
determines that a pregnant employee may take 4 months
consecutive unpaid leave. |
