QUALITY AWARENESS TRAINING PROCEDURE

Delegated Staff: Management Rep., Managers, ISO Reps and Staff.

1. The Manager / ISO Rep in charge of the department are responsible for the training of newly appointed staff     members with regards to Quality Awareness.
2.
As part of the above mentioned program, all new employees of the Company are also required to be trained in the use of the on-line Quality Management System (QMS) and the requirements of the ISO International Standard.
3. Typically, the Departmental Managers / ISO Reps. concerned will arrange a time during which the new staff members can receive Quality Awareness Training.
4. These employees will then attend the training on the arranged dates. The Manager or their ISO representatives will present the training session.

5.
On attending the training, the candidates are requested to complete and sign a Quality Awareness Training Register. This serves as record of proof that the candidates have received training on the QMS.

Each training session covers all aspects applicable to employees as to what they need to know about the on-line QMS, e.g. the different policies, generic procedures and the ‘navigation’ through the complete system.

After completion of the training, the trainees will be required to be employed as permanent members of staff and sign off on the induction manual". This takes approximately three months after probation whereby the employee has three months "Hands on" experience on the quality Management system.

Competence: The Responsible ISO Rep. will after a period of approximately three months after the training, call in the trained member of staff and ask them to retrieve their job description, Company Policy and a Random form (also required to Print one) on the Management system. Thereafter if that member of staff can perform these instructions without any assistance whatsoever they will be issued with a Certificate of Competence.

Attendance: An Attendance certificate is otherwise issued to members of staff that do not access the system on a regular basis such as Drivers, assistants and Tea ladies, to certify that they have received training on the QMS. This training for those members of staff that may not have continuous access to the QMS online system will consist of showing the drivers, drivers assistants, tea ladies how to access their profile and job description. If they wish to read any other procedures their manager will access them and print them off
9. A copy of the Training Register is given to the HR administrator & PR/Marketing Manager for SETA & BEE purposes.
10.
The Quality Systems Manager keeps the Training Register for a period of at least 3 years, after which they are shredded.
