BOOT STOCK PROCEDURE

 


Delegated Staff: 
 Operations manager, Service Controller and Service Engineers

 

 

 

  1.  

A picking ticket will be generated on the AS400 by the Parts Co-ordinator who will pick the spares and give to the Engineer.

The Engineer signs the picking ticket and the Parts Co-ordinator files the picking ticket.
 

  1.  

When an Engineer uses a part from his boot stock, he logs that part number off when he resolves the task.

 

4.

The Parts Co-Ordinator will print out a Boot Stock List from Service Now on a regular basis. The Service Controller is to check if all parts have been logged off on the relevant calls and check the remaining physical stock.
 

5.

If a part has not, and should have been logged off on a incident, then the Service Controller is to log off the spares on the incident.
 

6.

If an Engineer cannibalizes a part, a Boot Stock Adjustment Form must be filled in by the Engineer then the Service controller is to do a stock adjustment on his boot stock.
 

7.

If an Engineer has to draw stock from another Engineer, then the Service Controller is to transfer from the one to the other.
 

8.

 The boot stock list is to be filed.
