PARTS STOCK TAKE PROCEDURE

Delegated Staff Polokwane:
Parts Co-ordinator and Available Technical staff
Delegated Staff Tzaneen:
Service Controller and Available Technical staff
N.B.            Stock take to be performed after business hours.

All stock items must be allocated to a specific bin location before stock sheets can be called up on the AS400.

Once all parts have been allocated the stock sheets are called up. No Ship & Invoicing or warehouse transfers will be allowed until such time that the stock take is finished.

Stock take sheets are printed by bin locations. Stock is counted physically and written on the sheets.

Once stock is complete it is then captured on the AS400. A list of discrepancies is printed which is then checked again according to the actual stock.

Once the discrepancies are finalised the stock is then updated and reports are called up which will only be printed the next day. These reports are then given to the Financial Dept.

Parts Stock Take is done on a monthly basis at the end of every month or when requested by the Technical Director. (This applies to the Tzaneen Branch only)
