A machine comes in to the
workshop.
1.
The machine must be checked to
ensure that it is a viable option for refurbishment, if so a
thorough replacement parts list with costs to be completed and
put on the machine.
2.
The machine to be wrapped and
taken upstairs to the Sales Department.
3.
I don’t really want to put a
timeframe to this but points 1 and 2 above should be done as
soon as the machine arrives in the workshop. We don’t have space
to leave machines lying around “un-actioned”.
4.
Once the machine is sold and
the salesperson has completed the installation form, the machine
is to be taken downstairs, and the parts to be ordered
overnight.
5.
When the parts arrive, they are
replaced and the
machine is serviced, quality checked & tested thoroughly and must be working 100%
before it leaves the workshop. It must be signed off by the
relevant Technician.
6.
The machine must then be sent
for installation.
7.
Points 4, 5 and 6 must not
take longer than two to three days.
We must be an effective team, if
the machine cannot be serviced within these timeframes then a
plan must be made afterhours.
