A machine is
booked out by the W/H Co-ordinator to the Client as a
Demo, Installation etc on the AS400.
|
|
If the
machine is a major account then it does not get booked
out but the paperwork goes directly to the Service Controllers to create
a Setup incident.
|
|
A
Workshop incident is created and allocated to an Engineer and toner is supplied
by W/H Coordinator if not supplied with the machine. Engineer to sign delivery note and
keep it attached to Job Card.
|
|
The engineer
will set up the machine according to specifications and
install any peripherals listed on the installation form
as requested. Once this is done the Engineer will do a
routine check on the machine.
|
|
If the
machine passes quality inspection the machine will be
wrapped with the installation form visible and ready for
installation and a
Sales Pick Up Form (if the setup is for sales), and
an
Engineer Pick-Up
Form if the setup
is a major.
|
|
The
Workshop Task is then to be resolved by the engineer as a Setup
incident. |
|
If the
machine does not pass quality inspection, the Technical Manager confirms it and a problem
report is to be filled out by the Engineer and countersigned by the
Tech Manager who then
follows the procedures for a faulty machine.
|
|
The machine
must be stored in a cool dry place away from direct
sunlight in a dry place and with a 15cm spacing distance
from another machine.
