Once a major machine has been set up in the workshops and wrapped with the Installation dockets, which is now an Installation call on the AS400, is allocated to the Engineer who is to do the installation, depending on the area or suburb of the customer.

Toner is booked out and supplied by the Tech. Admin. Supervisor or Receptionist. If the machine is set up in Polokwane, the toner is sent to Tzaneen branch with the wrapped machine ready for installation.

The Engineer will demonstrate the machine and show the client how to replace the toner.

The Engineer then logs the call off (Machine and Peripherals) with the Service Controller.

The Service Controller is to make sure that all peripherals are logged off against the call in order for the system to charge for the installation for the relevant franchise at the end of the month. Should the peripherals not be linked to the main machine, the Parts Co-ordinator or Service Controller is to phone the franchise to arrange for the peripherals to be linked and makes a copy, which is filed in the Major Installation File.


The original copy is sent or e-mailed to the relevant person in Polokwane.
