There must be no outstanding transactions for
the warehouse on the AS400.
|

2.
|
The Service Controller requests stock count
sheets on AS400. NOTE: Once the stock sheets have been requested
the AS400 system will not allow you to process transactions.

3.
|
Print Stock Count Sheets from the spool file.
|
|
4.
|
Count stock according to product code and bin
locations.
|
|
5.
|
After manual count, capture data on AS400.
|
|
6.
|
Print and check variance report and
re-capture to rectify where needed only the line items
concerned.
|
|
7.
|
When all is completed then request an update
on the stock menu (Update stock and final edit lists, before and
after valuations)
|
|
8.
|
Shut system down
after the updates have been requested as this runs overnight.
|
|
9.
|
Print the stock reports from the spool file
the following morning.
|
|
10.
|
A copy of the variance is kept at the branch.
|
