Before Actual Stock Take
Allocation Of Bins
he Warehouse Manager ensures that all products have a location bin.
Print a product with no location list from the stock reports on AS400.
Check in warehouse what location to use for each product without a bin.
Allocate new bins for the stock and on AS400 by maintain locations.
| Go into outstanding transactions on AS400 in the stock take menu (stock take blocking reports) and print a list. | |
| Complete the above. |
| Stock Take

| Request stock sheets from the AS400 stock take menu (create stock take & stock take sheets). | |
| Once this is done the warehouses are closed
for any transactions. |

| Print stocks take sheets immediately. |

When all the sheets are done it gets entered into the system. |
|

Capture onto system, on stock takes menu (capture
stock take by page/line number). |

When completed request from stock takes menu
(stock take variance report) and print. |
|

Recount variances with two members of staff
and circle the correct count. |

If before total was circled then it must be
recaptured. |

Reprint variances and recount and recapture
until satisfied with count of stock. |
|

When all is completed then request an update
on the stock menu (update stock and final edit lists,
before and after valuations) . |

Shut system down after the update has been
requested as this runs overnight. |

The following day print all reports available
and check variances. |

File reports and stock take sheets in stock
take file. |
| 14. | Stock take sheets are to be signed by the persons counting and checking the stock. |
